Executive Director, Wikimedia Sverige

About me

I have a background in international relations and Peace and Conflict Studies (my Bachelor) from Umeå University and a Master in European Studies from Gothenburg University. A few years ago I was a trainee at the European Parliament's Secretariat for 5.5 months. As part of my Bachelor I also studied in North Carolina for one semester as an exchange student.

I have edited Wikipedia since 2006 and since 2007 I have been an administrator on the Swedish language version (under the user name Jopparn). On SVWP I have mostly focused on topics related to international relations, astronomy, and general maintenance.

My work

Since 15 May 2017 I am the Executive Director at Wikimedia Sverige (Sweden).

I started working there in 2012. Initially as an Event Manager for the EU funded Europeana Awareness project, organizing GLAM events all Europe in partnership with local chapters. In 2013 I became a Project Manager and lead a number of projects covering GLAM partnerships, photo contests, QRpedia, Wikipedia in Education, Open Data and technical development projects. I also had a leading role with identifying awesome partners and funding opportunities. In 2016 I assumed the role as Chief Operating Officer, a more strategic role, working in tandem with the ED. In 2017 I took over as the Executive Director for the Chapter.
